SHARED RESPONSIBILITY
Sustainability at PLASTON isn’t just a marketing term – it’s deeply embedded in our corporate strategy. For years, we’ve been strategically working on numerous initiatives, such as achieving CO2 neutrality by 2030. Our focus includes selected UN goals, adherence to ESRS standards, development of durable products, recycling of plastics, and energy efficiency within the company. Every month, we improve our metrics, work within three dedicated sustainability teams, and collaborate with strong external partners. Sustainability is a shared goal, and at PLASTON, we proudly take responsibility for it.
STRATEGIC TRANSFORMATION
Long before it became a mainstream term, PLASTON had already implemented sustainability projects. And we remain committed to moving forward, now with an even greater focus: in 2020, PLASTON created the role of a global sustainability manager who reports directly to the CEO and the Board. Key players in our company participate in our employee, environment, and innovation teams.
In recognition of our sustainable efforts, we were awarded the first Sustainability Award by Hilti in 2022, selected from over 500 suppliers.
PLASTIC IS A RESOURCE
Our goal is to achieve zero CO2 emissions by 2030 and advance plastic recycling. How do we aim to accomplish this in the energy-intensive plastics industry? Step by step.
Plastic has faced reputation issues for years, often deservedly so in certain sectors. However, plastic itself isn’t inherently harmful – rather, it’s how we manage and use it that’s problematic. The automotive and medical industries would be unimaginable without plastic. It protects valuable products like power tools or measuring instruments and saves energy and transportation costs due to its light weight. The plastic products we create are durable and long-lasting and have become indispensable in our modern world. For us, plastic is not a disposable product but a valuable material to be treated as such. PLASTON recognizes its responsibility and is committed to producing high-quality plastic products that serve people and technology for the long term.
PLASTON‘S SUSTAINABILITY GOALS
As a responsible manufacturer of plastic products, PLASTON implements continuous measures aimed at maximizing production efficiency and fostering innovation. We contribute to the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, focusing mainly on seven of the 17 goals where we can make the greatest impact:

Protect and Care for People

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTS
At PLASTON, our priorities are our employees, suppliers, customers, and the environment. Guided by our corporate values, we’ve developed a Code of Conduct for all stakeholders. We also take our responsibility for the planet and climate seriously, making both small and large strides in resource and energy efficiency, CO2 savings, and the recycling of our plastic products.

Whether building houses in Bosnia and Herzegovina, organizing clean-ups, planting trees, participating in Bike-to-Work challenges, or collecting plastic films – PLASTON fosters ideas and innovative projects for a sustainable future, together instead of alone.
