Image stamping: effective
Hot stamping has been further developed for image stamping. There are now no more limits to the layout, but it is only worthwhile with large quantities.
Instead of the never-ending number of patterned or solid colored films, just one printed image is applied to the hot-stamping film and printed off in the multi-colored offset printing process. Each one is then accurately applied to the plastic part.
The print images are positioned at regular intervals on a backing film with a labeling and are applied using a stamping machine with a modified film feeding system.
The image stamping film requires a more complex, individual printing process. Consequently, it is only worthwhile using this option if the annual volume is going to be around 10,000 pieces. But the image film opens up countless possibilities.
